waiting, waiting, waiting

Hi everyone!! So life in Brno is starting to fall into a routine. I'm getting  more used to the culture, the food, and the people. But best of all I finally feel like I'm making some friends! It's really nice to be able to feel like you have a bond and connection with someone again. It's amazing how I took that for granted the past 22 years. It's amazing how much more I appreciate the little things. I love watching American movies/ television (especially football) because it just reminds me of home. Last night I fell asleep watching a football game that I didn't really care about (LSU vs. Alabama) and it made me feel more comfortable, more like I was at home. Every Monday night I go out to dinner after class with a group of American teachers. It's nothing exciting, but I look forward to it all day.
So all of this kind of stuff makes all the other things I'm looking forward to easier.
I can't wait to be home for Christmas and see all of my family and friends. I think about all the food I'm going to eat (I have a mental list started already, it includes ranch dressing, green beans, real pizza, and the Rusty Bucket). I can't wait to see my family at the airport. I can't wait to be back in America! I can't wait to sit on a couch and veg out in front of the TV watching football with dad and David while eating all of the delicious snacks mom makes (buffalo chicken dip, buckeyes, fudge, chips and dip). I can't wait to move into my own place. And last but certainly not least, I can't wait to see Ben!
So basically, I just want to thank you all for being so great and tell you how much I'm looking forward to America. Love you guys!

  4. I can't wait to see you, too! I miss you so much, but the experience you are having will be so valuable to you. I'm so happy that Ben will be able to join you and make this experience even more special. Don't worry...I'll make sure I make my grocery list includes all of your favorites!
P.S. What kind of "real" pizza?
