Until then we have been discovering the Czech countryside the frugal way. Luckily, as the days get warmer there are more and more free days in Brno/Czech Republic. For example, we went to Museum Night this past weekend where all the museums in Brno were open and free! Also coming up is Castle Day (all churches and castles in the Czech Republic are free) and the Brno Fireworks Competition (http://www.ignisbrunensis.cz/programme--568--eng.html) where different countries from around the world compete to see who has the best fireworks! And that's all still to come!
So far we have explored nature, went to a witch burning, went to a DinoPark/ Zoo (it was mostly for children 2-7 but we still enjoyed it), and, of course, museum night!
Looking out over the countryside from the top of the "mountain" near our apartment
National Nature Reserve that we walk though every now and then
Looking down onto our apartment on our walk back home
A Czech Zoo... consisted of mostly farm animals and a house cat!
The ostrich
Feeding the goats. To Mom, David, and Vickie: this was equally as terrifying as the deer park. I refused to even hold the food because I was afraid.
A duck at the zoo
Inside DinoPark!!
Eva and I hanging out with some of the characters from Land Before Time
AHHHHHH!
Inside the theater in Brno. I was amazed at how nice it was inside. In my novice opinion, it looked almost like the Opera House in Vienna, only smaller.
You were able to walk onstage and backstage during museum night. It was really cool.
Thanks everyone for checking in. I promise to update again soon!
Deer Park must've really traumatized you...I can't believe you wouldn't hold the food!haha
